This Aspen residential project centers on stone as the primary architectural and visual element, with both interior and exterior masonry shaping the home’s timeless character. Locally sourced and sustainably quarried materials were a core requirement, leading to the use of moss rock veneer complemented by Colorado Buff sandstone trim, carefully selected for its contrast, workability, and long-term performance. Custom fabrication techniques, including epoxy stabilization, were employed to ensure durability and precision throughout the installation. Interior stone applications further reinforce the project’s material integrity, incorporating reclaimed stone, Colorado-sourced materials such as Colorado Yule, and select reclaimed tiles used in key spaces. Together, the masonry and stonework create a cohesive architectural expression rooted in craftsmanship, sustainability, and a deep respect for material authenticity.
